KUALA LUMPUR: A 19-year-old girl tried to leap from a pedestrian bridge near the Pudu Star LRT station, causing disruption to the RapidKL Ampang line LRT services.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received a call from the public at 9.35am. RapidKL, in a press statement, said the crisis was resolved at 10.20am.

RIO DE JANEIRO: AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato has married a Bra­zilian actress in a ceremony packed with celebrities and football stars. The 19-year-old Pato married Sthefany Brito at a church in downtown Rio and held the wedding reception at the Copacabana Palace late on Tuesday.

Kaka and former AC Milan player Cafu were among the players at the wedding, while several Brazilian celebrities were also among the nearly 500 guests, according to local media.

Micheal Jackson, the sensationally gifted child star who rose to become the “King of Pop” and the biggest celebrity in the world only to fall from his throne in a freakish series of scandals, died Thursday at the age of He was 50.

Meanwhile Farah Fawcett, the Charlie’s Angels star whose feathered blond hair and dazzling smile made her one of the biggest sex symbols of the 1970s, died Thursday after battling cancer. She was 62.

Jadi pada pendapat aku, tak perlu lagi aku bebelkan pasal sejarah Capoeira ataupun huraikan maklumat lanjut tentang apa itu Capoeira (kalau tak tahu tentang group Capoeira yang aku join, check info di sini).

Capoeira Festival : Pada 20-22 Februari lepas, Escola Brasileira de Capoeira Malaysia (EBC) baru sahaja mengadakan Capoeira Festival yang mana turut dihadiri rakan-rakan dari Philippines. Festival yang berlangsung selama 3 hari ini turut dimeriahkan dengan kehadiran pengasas EBC iaitu Mestre Oscar (Brazil), dan turut hadir Mestre Pano (Brazil), Professor Fantasma (Philippines), Professor Sapo dan Professor Parabolica (Grupo Senzala Penang). Terima kasih juga pada kami punya cikgu – Formado Soldado 😀 hehehe..

What Is Batizado?

According to Wikipedia, Batizado (literally baptism in Portuguese, and borrowed from the religious tradition) is normally an annual event for a Capoeira group in a region or country. The practice of Capoeira Batizados originates from Capoeira Regional, but has been extended to other styles.

Special announcement : Escola Brasileira de Capoeira Malaysia is organizing their first Capoeira batizado and Brazilian festival on 20th until 22nd February 2009. The festival that will be held at various location is to show the learning progress and improvement of the students (EBC Capoeiristas) after a year of practise, and to introduce the Brazilian culture and community. Mestre Oscar from EBC Brazil, Professor Fantasma from EBC Philippines and his fellow students are expected to attend this 3 days of festival as well.
