Tram-Like Buses

Salam.

Lama betul aku tak membebel kat blog sendiri ni. hahahaha… Penyakit malas awal tahun sudah merebak. Bahaya ni… wakakaka..~ Eh aku nak mengucapkan Selamat Tahun Baru 2010 buat semua orang ^_^ woohoo..~

Ok, topik hangat berita hari ini:

KUALA LUMPUR: Penang and Johor Baru will be the first two cities in the peninsula to get underway the Transport Ministry’s tram-like transport system called the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line. Widely-used worldwide, the tram-like transport costs less to develop compared to Light Rail Transit.

Aku baru je buat ‘kajian’ dari Google pasal mende tram. Mende alah ni ada pro dan kontra baik-buruknya. Lokasi cadangan kerajaan nak buat di Pulau Pinang dan Johor. Dari apa yang aku tengok dan baca, aku boleh beri pendapat murahan aku yang tak seberapa ni.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia said Tuesday a caning sentence handed to a Muslim model for drinking beer would be reviewed because it was “too harsh” and could damage the nation’s reputation.

Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno, 32, was found guilty of drinking at a hotel nightclub and sentenced by a religious court last month, making her the first woman to face caning under Islamic law in Malaysia.

New Taxi Fares

Salam.

KUALA LUMPUR: New fare prices for cab passengers – RM2 to RM3 for for the first three minutes of the journey followed by ten sen every 150 meters.There will be no extra charges for taxis that carry more than two passengers.

This was revealed by a minister in Prime Minister’s department, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz.

Aku tak tahu lah yang ini menjadikannya lebih mahal atau menguntungkan kedua-dua belah pihak. Tapi yang aku pasti, macam ni susah lah lagi aku nak naik teksi lepas ni. Sigh~ What say you?

New update from The Star online:

Express bus fares will also go up by 2sen per km, while stage bus fares in Kuala Lumpur will increase by between 25sen and 70sen according to zones.

Schoolbus fares in urban areas to increase from RM21.10 to RM27.43 for the first km and from RM1.55 to RM2.02 for every subsequent km. All the new fares will go into effect Aug 1, Nazri said.
